To fulfill its mission of developing a shared technology solution for the corporation's supported organizations, tech by design established itself as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization executing and maintaining the necessary incorporation documents and conducting board of director meetings and prepared and approved essential policies and procedures. A funding agreement with sole funder along with a budget, statement of work, reporting and deliverables was executed with nyec. The organization budget was developed and approved along with an organization structure, hiring plans along with recruiting and hiring of staff. RFPS were completed along with evaluations, selections leading to vendor negotiation and contracting with key software vendors. Workshops were held with the three supported organizations and key vendors to identify functionality and use cases required. Technical architecture was documented and implementation planning completed for the first organization to use the new shared solution. Tech by design also onboarded legal, financial and security support and established a robust security program. This positioned tech by design to successfully proceed with implementation of the first hie organization during the next fiscal year.
