The foundation was founded to support ahsc in achieving it mission to increase access to comprehensive health and human services and reduce healthcare disparities in southern california communities. The foundation provided support to its supported organization, altamed health servics corp. (ahsc), to fund the following ahsc programs:civic engagementour civic engagement programs engage patients and the larger community in understanding the value of the right to vote and empowering community members to excerise that vote. In 2024, we contacted 141,845 voters throughout california and reached targeted groups of 7,867 text subscribers and 13,842 email subscribers with key voter engagement information. We informed altamed patients about the right to vote in elections via 616,000 screensavers and 206,000 TV impressions, in altamed clinic waiting rooms.

Mobile clinic/clinic home visit programclinician home visit programfour clinical teams serve over 550 chronically ill patients at home. These patients are too ill or unable to come into a clinic, because they face a variety of challenges, including transportation. This program provides routine management and evaluation, as well as immediate phone access to a dedicated medical team.

General clinical carethis care was provided to some of the 5.5% of altamed patients who are uninsured and cannot afford to pay the full cost of care. The scope of care includes primary care, dental care, behavioral health and any speciality care altamed offers onsite. The total number of patient visits was 78,072, which includes patients accessing care at various altamed clinics.
