The project is funded by The State Bar of California Legal Services Trust Fund IOLTA and Equal Access Funds, US Department of Justice Office of Violence Against Women Legal Assistance for Victims funding, donations made to Counsel for Justice, and fees paid by individuals served by the project.

In 2024 the Project was funded by The State Bar of California Legal Services Trust Fund IOLTA and Partnership grants, a contract with the City of Los Angeles, and donations to Counsel for Justice.
