The l.a. Family housing corporation (lafh) core program, homeless services, consists of outreach and prevention, interim housing (bridge and crisis); housing navigation intake, assessment, placement services; and housing stabilization. Supportive services ensure the individuals and families served have all the resources they need to achieve stability and stay housed. Lafh services provided include; case management and life skill training; housing location, placement and retention services; employment placements and job development; pre-school, after-school and child enrichment programs; access to medical, mental health, and behavioral health care; and linkages to benefits, recovery support, continuing education and more.

The organization builds interim, affordable and supportive housing through new construction, acquisition and rehabilitation, or through partnerships with thrid party developers. The program develops housing for individuals and families who have experienced homelessness and/or have annual median incomes ranging from very low to moderate income. Lafh also owns and operates a portfolio of affordable housing properties through direct ownership or joint ventures to help combat the lack of housing in los angeles county. The properties all serve very low and low-income households and include permanent supportive housing, which is housing linked to on-site supportive services for chronically homeless individuals with disabilities.
