The foundation is an irc SEC 509(a)(3) supporting organization, originally established to support dignity health's san gabriel valley medical center (hospital) which has since been sold. As a supporting organization, the foundation operated exclusively for the benefit of, to perform the function of, or to carry out the purposes of the hospital which included making payments directly to the hospital. Effective fiscal year end 6/30/24, the foundation has been dissolved.
