Key activities for su2c include: 1. Collaborative cancer research - su2c funds multi-institutional and interdisciplinary cancer research teams and early career investigators working across most cancer types, including difficult-to-treat cancers; and 2. Public engagement - su2c leverages the entertainment community and media to drive public engagement and awareness campaigns to educate communities about cancer screenings, clinical trials, and the importance of supporting cutting-edge cancer research. Su2c also produces a televised "roadblock" fundraising event held once every two years that unites over 30 broadcast networks, cable channels, and streaming platforms to raise awareness about cancer research and generate funds to support its research programs.
