Tissues are recovered by the network staff and sent to various organizations for further processing and subsequent distribution. The network also operates a full service eye bank that provides ocular tissue for transplantation. Ocular tissue is utilized locally and shared with other eye banks throughout the united states and other countries through the international cornea project.
