The Foundation supports the operation of Wheeling Hospital, Inc. as a medical facility and assists with the purchase of new equipment, implementation of medical programs, capital improvement projects which will enhance and improve medical care and in furtherance of these purposes, will support, promote and contribute to the improvement of health care in accordance with the interest and purpose of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, a religious organization and hierarchical church within the meaning of W.VA. code section 35-1-4, both of which organizations are public charities under IRC Section 509a1 or 50912 and any other tax exempt organizations affiliated or related to such entities, thru facilities or programs within the City of Wheeling or elsewhere within the State of West Virginia and to communities and Region served by such organizations.
