During the fiscal year 2025, the consortium funded the development of numerous programs inthe pee dee related to graduate medical education (gme), undergraduate medical education(ume), and graduate health science education (GHS) programs as well as the development ofgraduate clinical education facilities and faculty (GCFF).the consortium provided funding related to the development of gme to mcleod regionalmedical center, medical university hospital authority, medical university of south carolinacollege of dental medicine tidelands regional medical center, and carolina pines regionalmedical center. Funding support in fiscal year 2025 for gme totaled $2,509,889.47.for ume, which is the pipeline for gme, the consortium provided funding to the university ofsouth carolina and to students at the university of south carolina's school of medicine who arecompleting training at the regional campus in florence, south carolina. Funding support infiscal year 2025 for ume totaled $449,741.72.for GHS, the consortium provided funding support for graduate health profession programs atfrancis marion university totaling $956,723.72.for GCFF, the consortium provided funding support for the development of a graduate clinicaleducation program at hopehealth, INC. Totaling $314,662.50.

Annual stipends were provided for class of 2025 and class of 2026 medical students from theuniversity of south carolina enrolled as students at the regional campus in florence, SC.stipends were provided to 32 medical students from usc who are both living and training in thepee dee, primarily at mcleod regional medical center and the medical university of southcarolina hospital, both located in florence.
