Program service accomplishments: through the handy pro experience initiative, ndwa gig worker advocates successfully engaged in 5 substantive meetings with the country's largest dispatcher of on-demand cleaners. Through these meetings ndwa gwa offered proposals to "to research, inform the public about, advance the rights, welfare, civic participation, education and well-being of individuals who work in the gig economy." specifically, ndwa gwa conducted focus groups, surveys, and 1-on-1 interactions with individuals who work in the gig economy as research to gain perspective on which issues need to be addressed. The insights from ndwa gwa's research played a key role in informing changes to technology used by gig workers. Ndwa gwa also spoke to members of the media in order and other stakeholders as part of its goal of informing the public.
