The organization holds a forty-nine percent (49%) interest in centrastate healthcare system, INC., a new jersey nonprofit corporation, recognized by the IRS as an organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986 as amended ("the code"). This entity controls various affiliates dedicated to providing medical and healthcare services to all residents of freehold, new jersey without regard to ability to pay, including centrastate medical center, an acute care medical center located in freehold, new jersey and recognized by the IRS as an organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the code as well as other nonprofit and for-profit entities. The remaining fifty-one percent (51%) interest is owned by atlantic health system, INC., a new jersey nonprofit corporation, recognized by the IRS as an organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the code.
