The Sanaag Healthcare Foundation exclusively promotes social welfare and operates to further the common good and general welfare of global communities. The Sanaag Healthcare Foundation does this by providing support to underserved global communities to assist with improving the quality of life for their citizens. Prior to 2024, the Foundation supported the ongoing operations of the Sanaag Specialty Hospital in the Sanaag region in Somaliland (Africa). The Foundation supported the hospital in providing all of the region's critical access, maternity and surgical care. Support of the Sanaag Specialty Hospital had brought quality and accessible healthcare to a region that was lacking before. In December 2023, conflict among land owners in Somaliland rendered the hospital inoperable. Starting in April of 2024, the foundation began working with donors to redirect their funds toward the new "HEAL" initiative.
