In 2024, milwaukee parks foundation (MPF) continued advancing our mission to collectively steward a thriving park system. We did this through our core strategies: supporting equitable amenities and programs, building community capacity and raising awareness, promoting access and fostering belonging in our parks. Three of the most significant accomplishments include:sprouts partnerships: MPF invested in a significant number of community-led park projects (sprouts). This included activating sherman park through partnerships, latino conservation week, drums up guns down milwaukee, and many more.seeds projects: in 2024, MPF completed a number of parks infrastructure projects (seeds). Most notable includes the complete renovation of meaux park basketball courts, significant upgrades and investment in mcgovern park and investments in reforestation efforts especially in neighborhood parks.awareness and engagement events: last but not least, MPF hosted a variety of engagement and awareness events in our parks such as the walk in the park series with milwaukee county parks, healthy county challenge with county executive david crowley and harvest fest with chairwoman marcelia nicholson.
