The pennsylvania state alliance of YMCA's delivers support, services, and information to the YMCA associations across the state. Our responsibility is to create collaboration and sharing of information, experience, and expertise among ymcas, and to connect y leaders to information provided by yusa through link website and other communication sources. Services include board governance training, strategic planning, and setting the framework for strategic partnerships among ymcas.

Neighborhood meetings - biennial meetings with ceos and other y leaders in each of the alliance's five (5) neighborhoods during which the topics include: key service delivery updates; policy and advocacy activities and updates; and general discussion with the participants.

YMCA leadership summit - the annual statewide meeting of YMCA chief executive officers and other senior staff during which the topics include: key policy issues facing ymcas; program / initiatives indeded to help them advocate for their local YS with elected officials; and networking opportunities for them to share best practices.

State capitol and local advocy events: the annual advocacy day at the capitol where y ceos, leaders and staff meet with the state legislators and other state government officials to advocate on key y issues such as: child care, after school programs, and charitable giving. Local events include tours of facilities with elected officials at all levels of government and meetings with key y staff.

Training and development: the alliance develops and provides training for YMCA staff and volunteers across pa, as well as collaborating with local ymcas and the YMCA of the USA to deliver content necessary to the safe and successful operations of local ymcas.
