Community needs: lsbdf promoted access to high quality, safe therapeutic materials crucial in the treatment of inherited bleeding disorders, and encouraged the comprehensive care including mental well-being of persons with a bleeding disorder. Through the helping hands program, lsbdf assisted over 50 families in crisis who were unable to pay or receive treatment for their medical condition, or had an unusual strain placed on household finances because of their bleeding disorer.
