Medhealth is a texas non-profit and tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization supporting the methodist hospitals of dallas (MHD) mission of providing medical services to the population in its service area. Medhealth employs over 315 providers in primary and specialty care in 80 locations across the DFW metroplex. Medhealth's thirty (30) primary care facilities had over 240,243 patient encounters in fiscal year 2024. It employs specialists in the fields of neurosurgery, otolaryngology, orthopedic, gastroenterology, medical and radiation oncology, breast surgery,general surgery and cardiology. In addition, medhealth employs the general trauma and orthopedic trauma surgeons who staff the emergency department at methodist dallas medical center. In this capacity, they care for the charitable and non-insured patients that present at that facility.
