Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen ("THA") is a 88 licensed bed acute care facility serving northern Collin County communities since its opening in 2000. THA focuses on women's & infant care, back & spine, emergency care, heart & vascular care, orthopedics and sports medicine. THA is a designated Pathways to Excellence hospital and accredited by The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center. THA has grown several times to meet the needs of the community, including a 221,460-square-foot addition and renovation in 2020. THA had 12,786 patient days, 3,921 discharges, 338 births, 48,307 outpatient encounters, and 25,574 emergency room visits during the year. THA provides quality medical healthcare services regardless of the patient's race, creed, sex, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay. THA provides care to persons covered by governmental programs, including Medicare and Medicaid, for reimbursement that does not always cover the cost of providing the care. THA also provides charity care to patients who are unable to pay for the services they receive.
