Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano ("THP") is a 386-bed facility that has served the cities of Plano and surrounding communities since its opening in 1991. A destination for high acuity neurosurgery, stroke, heart and vascular, and orthopedic care, THP is designated as a Primary Heart Attack Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and holds Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Knee Replacement from The Joint Commission. In addition to prioritizing these services, the Magnet-designated hospital places a focus on breast care, cancer care, digestive health, and women & infant's care, among other service lines. Texas Health Seay Behavioral Health Plano, located on the campus, provides inpatient and outpatient behavioral health therapies. A Level II Trauma Center, THP also holds Level IV Comprehensive Maternal Care and Level IV NICU Advanced designations. To keep up with rapid growth in Collin County, Texas Health is investing into the facility, adding an eight-story bed tower. THP has more than 1,700 employees and over 1,300 physicians on its medical staff in more than 65 specialties. During this year, THP had 101,627 patient days, 19,886 discharges, 3,100 births, 95,572 outpatient encounters, and 54,850 emergency room visit. THP provides quality medical healthcare services regardless of the patient's race, creed, sex, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay. THP provides care to persons covered by governmental programs, including Medicare and Medicaid, for reimbursement that does not always cover the cost of providing the care. THP also provides charity care to patients who are unable to pay for the services they receive.
