Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth ("THSW") is a 261-bed hospital serving the communities of Fort Worth, Benbrook, Crowley, Aledo and Granbury since 1987. Providing advanced medical treatments to Tarrant County and beyond, THSW received its first Magnet designation in 2016 and was redesignated in 2022. The facility also holds Primary Heart Attack Center and Primary Stroke Center designations from The Joint Commission. THSW is a Level III trauma center specializing in back and spine, heart and vascular, imaging services, orthopedic and sports medicine, among other key services. Expanding its NICU from 8 beds to 16 in April 2020, the hospital also holds Maternal and NICU Level III designations from the Texas Department of State Health Services. A third cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab opened on the hospital's campus in 2024. Texas Health Clearfork, which holds Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Knee Replacement, is part of THSW focused on joint replacement and back and spine care. More than 1,296 employees work at the hospital, and more than 635 physicians are practicing on the medical staff. During the year, THSW had 60,256 patient days, 15,616 discharges, 96,887 outpatient encounters, 71,377 emergency room visits and 3,022 births. THSW provides quality medical healthcare regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay. The hospital provides care to persons covered by governmental programs including Medicare and Medicaid for reimbursement that does not always cover the cost of providing the care. Recognizing its mission to the community, services are provided to both financially indigent and medically indigent patients.
