Texas Health Specialty Hospital Fort Worth (THSH) is a 10 bed long-term care hospital providing quality care to patients experiencing an average length of stay of 33 days or longer. Since 1989, THSH has been providing such care to patients in Fort Worth and surrounding communities. During the year, THSH had 3,097 patient days and 67 discharges. THSH provides quality medical healthcare regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay. The hospital provides care to persons covered by governmental programs including Medicare and Medicaid for reimbursement that does not always cover the cost of providing the care. Recognizing its mission to the community, services are provided to both financially indigent and medically indigent patients. THSH follows all the same policies and best practices regarding financial assistance, charity care, and discounted care, as all other Texas Health hospitals and is compliant with all 501(r) requirements.
