Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst Euless Bedford ("THHEB") celebrated its 50th anniversary of providing Northeast Tarrant County with patient and family-centered care in 2023. The 275-bed acute care facility offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient medical services with specialized capabilities in many areas, including emergency care, heart & vascular, orthopedics, women's and infant's and cancer care. In addition, behavioral health therapies are provided at an adjacent facility, Texas Health Springwood Behavioral Health HEB. THHEB is designated by the state as a Level III Trauma Center and holds a Level III Subspecialty Care Maternal designation. It is a Joint Commission Primary Heart Attack Center and Primary Stroke Center and achieved its first Magnet status in 2022. More than 1,300 employees work at the hospital, 24 Graduate Medical Education (GME) physicians, and more than 670 physicians are practicing on its medical staff. THHEB provides quality medical healthcare regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay. The hospital provides care to persons covered by governmental programs including Medicare and Medicaid for reimbursement that does not always cover the cost of providing the care. Recognizing its mission to the community, services are provided to both financially indigent and medically indigent patients. During the year, THHEB had 67,324 patient days, 16,190 discharges, 75,134 outpatient encounters, 61,113 emergency room visits, 4,539 surgeries, and 2,384 births.
