LINE 4D, PROGRAM SERVICE ------------------------- Infant Care: NEST (Newborn Evidence-based Sleep Teaching) Safe Sleep is CPCQC's statewide hospital quality improvement initiative to reduce sleep-related infant deaths. LINE 4D, PROGRAM SERVICE ------------------------- Systems Change & Innovation: Working state-wide with hospitals, clinical teams, community-based organizations, state agencies, and with the support of a national network of perinatal quality collaboratives gives CPCQC the opportunity to raise up solutions as well as issues that are best addressed using system-level levers and influence. LINE 4D (Other), PROGRAM SERVICE ------------------------- Quality Improvement Initiatives: Quality Improvement is a structured, data-driven approach to improve healthcare processes and outcomes systematically. QI involves identifying areas of need, implementing evidence-based interventions, measuring progress using defined metrics, and continuously refining processes to achieve better health outcomes for birthing people and newborns. The Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) adopts QI as a foundational strategy to drive the implementation of patient safety bundles-standardized sets of practices designed to reduce preventable maternal and infant morbidity and mortality. By engaging multidisciplinary care teams, continuous learning, and using real-time data for decision-making, QI enables sustainable improvements in the quality and safety of perinatal care. Current QI initiatives include cesarean reduction, postpartum discharge, addressing substance use and safe sleep for infants.
