The health program focuses on the areas of cost and coverage, digital health, behavioral health, prevention, chronic care, long-term care, rural health, public health, pandemic preparedness, and health care workforce:behavioral health projectthe health program addresses the huge unmet need for mental health and substance use disorder treatment through federal policies to expand the workforce, ensure more providers participate in insurance networks, and make better use of the existing workforce through integration. This includes projects focused on implementation of the crisis care continuum, development of the unlicensed workforce, and behavioral health needs specific to rural areas.prevention projectled by its food and nutrition security task force, for the past several years, BPC's health program has identified policies that address hunger, nutrition, and health.
