We believe it is important to be inclusive of the diversity and aware of the intersections that make up south florida, uniting groups of different races, genders, sexual orientations, identities, abilities and faith around the power of football. The foundation also provides scholarships to students nominated by miami-dade county schools in support of these goals.NFL grants disbursements - grants received from the NFL foundation partially fund coach of the week, athletic trainers, play 60, volunteer program, hometown huddle, crucial catch, social justice, salute to service and social responsibility. No restriction is placed on the student's choice of school or discipline of study. The number of scholarships awarded is based on the funding available and the number of quality applications received. The scholarships are primarily distributed directly to colleges over four years, which helps to ensure that the student remains in school. The 2024 nmef recipient award amount is $51,852; and twelve awards will be disbursed in increments of $2,500 per year for four (4) years. The total nmef scholarships disbursed in 2024 for 2021-2024 scholarship recipients totals $62,500. Total fmu scholarship amount is $100,000 - construction trade.
