The Hospitality Houses of Methodist Medical Center provide temporary lodging for patients and families who must travel long distances for treatment at Methodist Medical Center or Thompson Cancer Survival Center at MMC. The three homes offer 12 fully furnished apartments; shared kitchen, dining, laundry and family rooms; stocked pantries; transportation assistance as needed; and free parking. The program is supported entirely by charitable contributions.Guests of the Hospitality Houses stay as long as they need, free of charge. Since the first house opened in 1997, thousands of guests have received lodging. In 2024, the houses served 118 guests and provided 4,564 nights of stay for patients and families receiving cancer treatment, ICU/CCU care, and wound care at MMC. Guests traveled from 16 different Tennessee counties, as well as from Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Texas. Based on standard local hotel rates, the value of the free lodging received by these guests was $547,680.

MMC Foundation provides funding for patients and employees in times of crisis through the Jack Sills MMC Chaplain's Fund. In 2024, assistance was provided to 28 patients and 50 employees to assist with housing, transportation, funeral, food, utilities and medical expenses so that they could push through unexpected crisis situations and resume their productive lives.

MMC Foundation funded continuing education equipment, clinical training and advanced certifications at Methodist Medical Center, including a training materials for nursing education, and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) training for pharmacists.

Additionally, the foundation distributed a gift-in-kind of e-readers to support medical students in the MMC Family Residency program, and funds to support the Imagination Library program for children born in the MMC family birthing unit.
