What They Do

Youth development: at the YMCA, children and teens learn values and positive behaviors, and they explore their unique talents, gifts and abilities, helping them reach their potential. In 2024, 732 children participated in after-school enrichment at the y, where they learned about healthy eating, participated in the arts and received help with their homework. 585 youths experienced outdoor life at camp winona. 2,156 children of all ages learned to swim. 4,302 participated in youth sports.

Healthy living: the YMCA encourages members to challenge themselves to learn new skills or hobbies, connect with friends and family through fun activities. At the end of 2024 there were 35,622 active members. 420 received personal training.

Social responsibility: through the support of hundreds of donors and volunteers, the YMCA is able to support the communities we serve in many ways. In 2024 we had 1,585 donors and benefitted from 2,000 volunteer hours. In 2024, 33.8% of our members and program participants received financial assistance from the y.
