The Gift Stop operates as a nonprofit organization founded to provide support to UF Health from income generated by the operation of three gift shops located within the J. Hillis Miller Health Science Center, selling a variety of goods for body and spirit. All profits are distributed annually to UF Health Shands Teaching Hospitals and Clinics, Inc., the Shands Auxiliary, Inc., and the University of Florida Medical Guild of Gainesville, Florida, Inc. UF Health Shands Teaching Hospitals and Clinics, Inc., the Shands Auxiliary, Inc., and the University of Florida Medical Guild of Gainesville, Florida, Inc. are all tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.
