Education: our three-pronged approach brings evidence-based best practices into classrooms and childcare environments: educate, demonstrate, advocate.through the united way connecting assessments with intentional teaching (cait) program, we served 389 classrooms, training 656 administrators and teachers in low-income areas of miami-dade.positively impacted 932 early education professionals at 114 programs by providing 6,315 hours of professional development and learning.8,994 young children received quality early education.11,445 students received school-aged education resources needed for success.8,928 students received tutoring and post-secondary prep.

Economic mobility:through our programs such as the center for financial stability, mission united, and upskill miami, and our partnerships with impact partner organizations, united way provides skill building, veteran job training, housing assistance, tax prep, financial coaching, student loan help, homeless support and more.the united way center for financial stability served 2,625 clients, with 806 receiving financial coaching, implementing new monthly spending and savings plans, $297,140 in debt reduced or eliminated, and $115,515.98 in emergency assistance provided.more than 566 participants enrolled in upskill miami training programs, and to date 233 have been placed in better paid jobs.19,143 individuals received shelter and/or shelter and food assistance.6,630 unemployed and underemployed individuals participated in training and placement programs.united way miami mission united worked with 419 veterans providing them with services valued at $507,720 at no cost to them.

Health & wellbeing:our initiatives and partnerships offer healthy aging services, mental health support, family counseling, and RX discounts.more than 71,627 people accessed health and wellness services.10,516 older adults received services that included congregate and in-home nutritious meals, nursing assistance, referrals for intensive case management, nutrition education workshops, and caregiver support.36,185 mental health counseling sessions were provided.

Resilient communities:we work with partners on issues that impact the whole community. From disaster recovery, drowning prevention for young children, and connecting thousands of callers to services, we are there to create a significant impact.96,747 211 calls were answered by compassionate staff.1,219 individuals received critical disaster relief, including those affected by home fires and severe flooding.united way joined multiple community partners in a drowning prevention program by committing financial support to the initiative.
