The program is also a cystic fibrosis foundation designated therapeutic development center - one of more than 80 centers worldwide specializing in clinical trials to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new therapies. The pediatric pulmonologists also lead a collaborative asthma program at all children's aimed at reducing the rate of hospitalization for children with asthma and linking hospital-based and community resources for families of asthmatic children.
