Since january 1, 1998, the authority has leased all of its operations of floyd medical center located in rome, ga to floyd healthcare management, INC. ("fhmi"), a nonprofit corporation created under the sponsorship of the authority. Pursuant to this lease, fhmi assumed the obligation to fund the authority pension plan, and to provide funds to cover the financial needs of the authority.
