Bayhealth medical center, INC. Provides a full range of patient care, emergency services, and wellness services. Bayhealth medical center is comprised of a total of 423 beds in two acute-care hospitals: bayhealth hospital, kent campus in dover (266 beds) and bayhealth hospital, sussex campus (157 beds) in milford. Both hospitals are level iii trauma centers. Bayhealth also has outpatient sites throughout the service area including bayhealth medical group employed clinician practices, walk-in medical care, laboratory services and imaging services, outpatient rehabilitation, and more (continued on schedule o). Bayhealth provides a full range of surgical and medical care with many specialties and services: hematology/ medical oncology and radiation oncology; heart and vascular services including vascular, endovascular and cardiac surgery and electrophysiology; neurosciences; wound care; women's and children's services and perinatology services, among many others. Kent campus has a level ii special care nursery. During the twelve months ending june 30, 2024 (FY 24), bayhealth kent campus recorded 71,340 emergency room visits, 12,298 patients admitted to beds, 1,471 births, and 367,364 outpatient visits. Bayhealth sussex campus recorded 52,007 emergency room visits, 7,232 patient admissions, 798 births, and 236,421 outpatient visits. Bayhealth medical center INC. Since the program's inception, residency programs have been established for family medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, and emergency medicine adding access to patients across the region. In 2024, bayhealth will welcome its first fellows in the hematology/oncology fellowship program -the first of its kind in the state-and will welcome its first gastroenterology fellows in 2025. In FY 2024, bayhealth hosted students from vocational schools, community colleges, and universities for clinical rotations in nursing and other health professions. Because the service area is deemed to be medically underserved, with a shortage of health professionals, bayhealth actively recruits clinicians to the area. In addition, bayhealth owns and operates 46 physician practices in central and southern delaware.bayhealth has an active community outreach and education program, including health-related classes, support groups, free public screenings, free speakers for community groups, community part mobile care unit. In FY 24, bayhealth was represented at more than 75 community events across kent and sussex counties. Our mobile care unit traveled over 6,000 miles throughout central and southern delaware to expand healthcare access by meeting community members where they are. Bayhealth medical center, INC.
