Lobbying and Policy Advocacy: Justice Action Network (JAN) advocated for reforms at both the state and federal level that will improve public safety outcomes and create stronger communities nationwide. JAN cultivated relationships with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, sought input from local advocacy groups and nonprofits, system practitioners, law enforcement, and more to engage in advocacy and direct lobbying efforts at the state and federal levels on criminal justice policy reform. JAN assisted with drafting legislation, testified before state legislatures, and participated in press conferences to highlight proposed reforms.
