The givens brain tumor center at abbott northwestern hospital in minneapolis was introduced in 2016 with funds raised from the mind over matter charity classic event. Unfortunately, no event was able to be held in 2022 due to the lingering economic effects of the covid-19 pandemic. The primary mission of the givens brain tumor center is to create a world-class brain tumor center that features coordinated whole person care, includes state-of-the-art diagnostics, conducts and publishes the results of leading edge clinical research, attracts the best and brightest clinicians, and connects the community.
