Ridekc bike is a 24/7 public bike share system providing a unique mix of technologies that extend the fixed route transit system and gives local residents and visitors a variety of options for getting around the greater kansas city area. It features smart electric bikes, classic pedal bikes, and programming designed to offer innovative solutions for transportation, recreation, and physical health. In 2023, ridership continued to grow as we expand our service area and number of bikes deployed. Trip rates in 2023 on bikes were up by 25% and total trips increased by 8% overall. June 2023 was the best single month ever with 6,300 rides completed. For 2023 there were 51,707 total trips with over 8,500 unique users and 310 bikes in service.
