All program service expenses were incurred in furtherance of our mission, which is to ensure the highest levels of excellence in providing health care services to all patients in a caring environment. In 2023, there were 31,800 patient days and 1,200 newborn days. In addition, the hospital provided 109,000 outpatient and emergency services. As a voluntary, nonprofit, comprehensive organization, saint luke's north hospital is committed to serving all who seek our services regardless of their socioeconomic status. The hospital participates in the medicaid and medicare programs and has a financial assistance policy for assisting people without adequate means to pay for their care. Between our barry road and smithville campuses, saint luke's northland hospital has 161 licensed patient beds. Both campuses serve the northern kansas city area.
