Family medicine-national innovations in continuity clinic experience (FM-nicce) started a pilot project in 2018 with 25 fully accredited programs in good standing with acgme. These programs received waivers from acgme and the abfm during the pilot to be innovative with resident schedules to determine if fewer than 40 hours per week would improve resident satisfaction and improve continuity of care with patients.
