The american board of sleep medicine, ABSM, provides the sleep technologist registration recertification. The sleep technologist registry is intended to certify that successful candidates have the minimum competencies required to effectively perform the job requirements for a sleep technologist. The RST credential is a 5-year certification and RSTS must recertify every five years or risk suspension of their RST certification. In 2024, a total of 51 candidates were granted recertification.
