The peopleforbikes coalition serves as both a national bicycling advocacy organization and the u.s. Bicycle industry's trade association. Its mission is to increase participation in bicycling and enhance the bicycling experience nationwide. Core activities include providing leadership at the national, state, and local levels; securing funding and advancing public policy to expand bicycle infrastructure and access; make bicycling safer, conserve public lands; promote recreational bicycling opportunities; and support pro-bicycle and pro-bicycle business policies. The organization also engages in legislative and regulatory matters related to bicycle manufacturing, sustainability, and other business and industry issues.
