Some of the accompishments are: youth development - youth and families benefitted from our community support campaign. The greater marinette-menominee YMCA subsidized monies in finanical assitance to those in need. The organization's goal is to make sure that no one is turned away due to the inability to pay. Our committment to kids and families include: after school program - this program is a healthy living/academic enrichment program using curriculum from the YMCA of the USA. Our program provides a safe place to learn and build character development following the four core values of the YMCA - caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Healthy living - the organization provides facilities for physical activities. Social responsibilty - the organization maintains a financial assistance program for individials with an inabilty to pay. Also maintains a free tot watch for parents. We belive that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Here at the greater marinette-menominee YMCA we are cultivating the values and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, and educational achievement. Healthy living - being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It's about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind, and body. The greater marinette-menominee YMCA is a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill, fostering connections with frieds through our lifelong learning programs or bringing loved ones together through our many family centered activities. At the y, it's not about the activity you choose as much as it is about the benefits of living healthier on the inside as well as the outside. Health, well-being, fitness social responsibility the generosity of others is at the core of the y's existence as a nonprofit. It is only through the support of our many volunteers and our public and private donors that we are able to support and give back to the communities we engage.
