This year, the American Chemical Society funded a donation to ACS to fully endow the Debye Award at the national level. The national ACS shows the PHYS Division as a sponsor of the Debye Award. The award recognizes the nominees outstanding research, which may include theoretical or experimental contributions. They also consider the nominees success as a mentor and colleague, as much of the impact of research depends on the extension of work by others.
