Net income to be distributed annually for maintaining a scholarship known as the John R. and Mary Ellen Defenbaugh Memorial Scholarship for qualified students accepted at the University of Illinois Medical School, who have maintained a good academic record and moral standards and who are in need of financial assistance. The selection for the scholarship must be made by the Dean of the University of Illinois Medical School or a comittee of professors selected by the Dean.
