The foundation champions patient-centered and humanitarian roles for pathologists striving to connect people, especially those in need, to the specialized, life-saving skills of pathologists. See, test & treat is the foundation's flagship endeavor. It is a free, pathologist-led cervical and breast cancer-screening program offered to vulnerable women throughout the u.s. The foundation regards see, test & treat as a model program to spur engagement, reduce health disparities, and improve health outcomes in medically underserved communities. The foundation also confers educational training and leadership awards to pathology residents to increase the specialty's impact in healthcare. The cap foundation's reach extends far beyound u.s. Boarders. Through our gloabal pathology award and educational programs. We've received applications and supported awardees from countries around the world. This growing international network reflects our commitment to advancing pathology, expanding access to care, and empowering the next generation of pathologists. In 2024 17 countries were reached 37 grants or awards were distributed. See, test & treat is a life saving program that provides free cancer screening and helath education to medically underserved communities, delivering same-day results and follow-up care. Led by volunteer pathologists and supported by local health care teams, the program removes barriers to care and empowers patients with critical knowledge about their health. In 2024, 12 programs were hosted across the us, 600 uninsured and underinsured women were screened, 112 were connected to additional follow up care. The cap foundation's grants and awards support the next generation of pathologists through funding for leadership development, global health experiences and advanced access to education and strengthen the future of the pathology profession. In 2024, 30 grants and awards were given domestically, 30 students, residents and fellows were awarded.
