The association carries on the orthopaedic community's advocacy activities related to healthcare issues on behalf of patients and professionals. Volunteers proactively support patient access to health care by contacting and meeting with members of congress and other decision makers together with their patients to make sure they understand the issues surrounding musculoskeletal health so they can make informed decisions regarding health care funding.
