United way of south central serves as a convener and catalyst around solving community issues within a six county region. We work closely with local agencies, including city and county officals, as well as engaging donors and volunteers. The emphasis of our focus is work with populations that are at or below the sustainable living wage guidelines. The annual fund drive supports over 50 agencies with additional efforts throughout the year that supports early childhood literacy, efforts to STEM truancy and support for disaster relief. All of the efforts are consistent with the goal of creating financial stability, youth opportunities and a healthy community.
