Youth development - at the YMCA, we believe that every child and teen deserves the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. That's why we're committed to nurturing their potential through programs that support social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. From preschool and afterschool care to swim and gymnastics lessons, our programs open doors for young people to build skills, form healthy relationships, and grow into confident, thriving individuals. We create safe, supportive environments where all kids can connect to their potential, purpose, and each other. We also work to ensure that cost is never a barrier. In 2024, the YMCA of western stark county provided $115,681 in financial assistance, making it possible for 2,468 individuals; many of them youth to take part in youth development and healthy living programs they might not otherwise be able to afford.
