Petco love is a life-changing nonprofit organization that makes communities and pet families closer, stronger, and healthier. Petco love's mission is to end preventable euthanasia of shelter pets; increase access to veterinary care and reunite lost pets with the families that love them. Petco love accomplishes these goals by empowering organizations through grant investments that make the most impact and by creating national solutions to address community needs impacting the welfare of animals. Saving pet lives: petco love adopt works to save shelter pets in partnership with animal welfare organizations across the country. Petco love partners with these organizations to promote pet adoption, fostering and other lifesaving activities and further empowers these organizations with grant investments. Petco love's grant investments support organizations that are the most productive and effective in accomplishing their mission as determined through a decision model designed to evaluate and assess organizations alongside their peers. Petco love supports large scale adoption events to increase pet adoption and build community support and transport programs that move pets to areas of the country with less shelter pets and more potential adopters. Petco love also partners with petco animal supplies to provide animal welfare organizations with space and a venue in petco pet care centers to showcase the wonderful adoptable pets to potential adopters. Petco love also supports organizations saving shelter pets and training them as "helping heroes" to others as service and therapy animals. As part of its lifesaving work, petco love also responds to disasters like fires, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters, providing support in preparation, during and after disasters with products and grants to care for pets and rebuild from destruction.

Access to care: petco love care supports access to better pet health by facilitating access to affordable pet care, free pet vaccines, cancer resources, and other veterinary support. Petco love provides grant investments to a variety of organizations to assist pet parents in caring for pets in need by providing veterinary care (including wellness care), spay/neuter services, emergency and other medical care, vaccines and other pet care needs. In 2021, petco love launched its vaccinated and love campaign to work with its partners nationwide to provide free vaccines to pets in need. This campaign is designed to ensure that pets do not suffer and die needlessly from preventable diseases, and to date has provided over 3.4 million vaccines to pets in need. Petco love has also supported pet cancer treatment, awareness and research for more than ten years.

Reuniting lost pets: petco love launched petco love lost in april 2020, a national lost and found database utilizing pet image recognition technology to reunite lost pets with their families. Petco love is working to establish love lost as the go-to national solution to report all lost and found pets and reunite lost pets by uploading a photo and connecting pet parent to the finder or shelter where the pet is located. Since july 2021, petco love lost has reunited nearly 120,000 lost pets with their families and has helped countless others by providing information and support to reunite lost pets. Petco loves activities to reunite lost pets also serves to reduce the numbers of pets in shelters thereby also helping to save pet lives.
