These nonprofit organizations provide philanthropic support for the system's mission of providing quality health services to all who entrust their care to parkview and improving the health of the communities parkview serves.the staff at parkview huntington hospital foundation, INC., build lasting relationships that foster gift-giving for the benefit of caregivers, hospital programs and services, as well as new equipment. These relationships are made with huntington memorial hospital, INC., co-workers, physicians, vendors, patient families, and the broader(see schedule o for continuation)community. These efforts help make parkview huntington hospital foundation, INC., benefactors a collection of caring individuals who recognize huntington memorial hospital, INC., as an agent for saving and changing lives and a force for creating healthier communities for generations to come.among the improvements to patient care, gifts to parkview huntington hospital foundation. INC. Funded in 2023 are:training and education:-the foundation continued its commitment to help maintain the highest standards of training and certification of hospital co-workers with another year of appropriations for the clinician education fund and the remembering holly education and training fund. There were ten opportunities for co-workers in 2023, for both onsite and remote training. Those frontline staff members from clinical departments were able to take advantage of advanced, specialized instruction and share best practices with their supervisors and co-workers. Some examples of the training and education opportunities include certified surgical first assistant class, zander certified perioperative nursing class, neonatal resuscitation program symposium and a lactation conference. Special touch fund:-the special touch fund, which focuses on patient assistance, was able to provide new clothing to replace parkview huntington hospital's emergency room patients' damaged or stained items. This allowed patients to wear clean clothes upon hospital discharge. Greatest need fund: -the hospital's emergency department received a new accuvein finder. -the inpatient and critical care units received new philips monitors for patient rooms.-the cardiopulmonary department was provided with new code boxes. -a new chair was provided to the sleep lab.home health and hospice:-parkview home health and hospice received foundation support to enhance patient care which made it possible for them to offer patient massages and music therapy, as well as providing bereavement care by providing chaplaincy visits, family support groups and bereavement materials for loved ones facing grief and loss.holly sale equipment and technology fund:-pediatric physical therapy equipment including wooden pediatric highchairs and twin talk commuincators were purchased for the rehab and wellness area. Other items provided for the rehab and wellness area include upper extremity and hand models.scholarships:-the fifth year of the parkview huntington spirit of service scholarship awards provided funding to three community students pursuing degrees in healthcare-related fields
