National healthcare, research and education finance corporation is authorized to support the charitable and educational purposes of hospitals, academic medical centers and medical research organizations, including national jewish health & astera health, that are organizations described in section 501(c)(3) of the code (collectively,the "supported organizations") by providing or facilitating low-cost financing of facilites and infrastructure for the supported organizations. In addition, national healthcare research and education finance corporation is authorized to own, operate and lease, as lessor or lessee, nonprofit health care facilites in a manner that will minimize the costs to the public for the use of such facilites, in order to improve the quality of health care.
