Community shares raises funds for the benefit of its member 501(c)(3) organizations through workplace giving campaigns. Donors who give through workplace campaigns designate their gifts to a specific charity, specific interest areas (addressing hunger and homelessness, education, advocacy, animal welfare, etc.) or may designate their gifts to be distributed to all members of community shares.

These campaigns offer the ability to reach a large number of people about services available to the community through diverse nonprofit organizations and offers employees of all income levels methods for making philanthropy more diverse and democratic.
