Youth engagement:a. Floor hockey program: each season, we visit 10-15 elementary schools and bring along our players, ringo and staff to teach the basics of hockey. For each school we visit, we donate an entire set of hockey equipment for the school to keep and hopefully encourage teachers to include hockey in their curriculum. I. The only cost associated with this program is the equipment, which is usually around $4,000-$5,000.b. Captain's kids program: our captain's kids program is an annual program hosted by our captain, and board member, curtis mckenzie. Each game series, curtis invites out a local child or family usually facing a lifelong illness, a disability, or would be fi nancially unable to attend a game on their own. He creates an experience that includes a pre-game opportunity to high five the team as they skate out for warmups and does a special meet and greet with the child or family after the game, bringing along some of his teammates and ringo. He also purchases the tickets that include their dinner and a drink for the evening. I. Because curtis pays for the tickets, there is no expense to the foundationfor this program.

Honoring military families:a. Donated tickets: each season, the texas stars foundation donates tickets to local, active and retired military members.i. There is no expense associated as these are in-kind donations from our organization to other organizations and individuals.
